Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Frisco is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Frisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I bought a 2026 Audi S3 in November 2025, and after investing so much on a new car, I wanted to invest in PPF to protect the paint. Initially, I thought about just wrapping the front to protect it from small rocks and road debris. After spending a lot time looking into different brands and types of wrap, I decided on PPF over vinyl for the extra protection PPF offers. While looking at the various types and brands, I found satin PPF. I wanted to make my car unique, so I decided on a full-body satin PPF instead of a partial clear PPF. I started looking for local shops that could do the work, and thatโ€™s when I found The Coat Lab. I called them, and the owner, Layne, answered. Very nice guy who was willing to take the time to answer all of my questions. It turns out, itโ€™s owned by Layne and his wife, Tina. Both are very nice, which youโ€™d expect from owners of a local business. It doesnโ€™t always work out that way, but it did with The Coat Lab. While it wasnโ€™t cheap, it was fairly priced compared to what I read online that others were paying. Plus, the brand they use was good quality, based on my research. Not only was it reasonably priced, but Tina was able to schedule the work to be

PROFESSIONAL--Quality work at competitive prices. They really know what they are doing and achieve the highest quality possible--and then deliver. Communicate along the way and they take pride in their product. Just look at their location, it is full of the most expensive vehicles possible.....because they have shown themselves to be able to handle such vehicles. And then, they did an amazing job with my wife's Volvo

I recently had my 2026 Corvette ZR1 fully protected by The Coat Lab, and I honestly couldnโ€™t be more impressed with both the quality of work and the overall experience. They did a full PPF wrap in matte, while keeping the carbon fiber sections in gloss, tinted all the windows, and applied a full ceramic coating to the entire vehicle. The end result completely transformed the look of the car โ€” it looks absolutely incredible and gets attention everywhere I go. The attention to detail is on another level, especially with how cleanly everything was installed and finished. What really stood out to me, though, was their level of professionalism and customer service. There was a small โ€œdeadโ€ spot in one area of the ceramic coating, and without hesitation, Layne came out to my house the very next day and took care of it. No excuses, no delays โ€” just immediate accountability and top-tier service. That kind of responsiveness and pride in their work is rare, especially at this level. Layne and Hadden were both great to work with throughout the entire process โ€” knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they genuinely care about the fin

Layne and his team at Coat Lab are amazing! From first contact to pickup, they were incredibly helpful, answered all my questions, and went above and beyond to make the process easy. The install quality is top-notch, and their customer service is truly unmatched. My car is now fully protected with PPF and ready to take on the track! We are lifelong customers.

I had a great experience working with The Coat Lab on my vehicle wrap. From the beginning, the team really listened to what I wanted and took the time to understand my vision for the vehicle. They also provided valuable professional feedback on what would work best for my specific car, which I appreciated because it helped me make the right decisions. The quality of the work is excellent. The wrap looks seamless, clean, and well-executed. You can tell they pay attention to detail and take pride in their craftsmanship. Overall, Iโ€™m very satisfied with the outcome and the customer service throughout the process. I would definitely recommend The Coat Lab to anyone looking for high-quality wrap or PPF work.
